Q: What are the procedures of these therapies?

A: The treatment involves both acupuncture and herb remedies with the following schedule:
• Acupuncture treatment: 3-4 sessions per week (45-60 minutes/session).
• Herb remedies (taken orally): twice per day during initial weeks, with reduced dose when the improved symptoms become stable.

Q: Who can be benefit from such therapies?

A: Most patients can be benefit from this innovative alternative therapy, especially those who have been treated by conventional therapies without seeing appreciable improvement, or whose symptoms continue to deteriorate. Patients treated with this kind of therapy often experience noticeable improvement within one month of treatment.

Q: Are there side effects to acupuncture?

A:  Acupuncture usually does not cause symptomatic side effects, although the sensation of tingling and soreness are felt from the needling at the site of acupuncture. As energy is redirected throughout the body, it is quite common for patients to experience a sense of deep relaxation during the treatment.

Q: Are herbal remedies necessary?

A:  Herbs used at our clinic can enhance the effect of acupuncture to accelerate or maintain the progress of improved motor functions.
Herbal remedies are also safe with minimal adverse effects. Sensitive individuals may experience reduced appetite, nausea, or itching and rash on the skin. If you take other prescription drugs, it is advised that you take herbal remedies 2 hour before or after the prescription drug.
