Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic and progressive neurodegenerative disorder primarily affecting patients’ motor function. It is caused by the loss of a specific type of cells in the brain which produces a chemical called “dopamine”. The characteristic symptoms of Parkinson’s disease include tremors, muscle rigidity, slow movement, and difficulty with walking and balance. These symptoms deteriorate over time if not appropriately controlled. Recent studies have shown that scalp acupuncture treatment can increases the dopamine level in the brain and improve motor functions of Parkinson’s patients.
In our clinic, we are specialized in using unique scalp acupuncture technique to treat Parkinson’s patients, especially those who do not respond well to traditional therapies and the symptoms continue deteriorating. Our goal is to reduce tremor, increase flexibility, and improve general motor function. Patients treated with this kind of therapy in our clinic often experience noticeable improvement within one month of treatment.
