Drug, Alcohol and Cigarette Addiction

Auricular acupuncture was first recognized in Hong Kong in the early 1970s as effective treatment for patients addicted to cocaine and opium.  Since then, auricular acupuncture has been used in the addiction detoxification protocols worldwide. Acupuncture/auricular acupuncture has rapidly gained its popularity as an effective adjunct treatment for different kinds of addition problems – from nicotine and overeating to alcohol and hard drugs abuse.

In our clinic, we treat patient using the auricular acupuncture protocol developed by the
National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA), which is used around the world to help people deal with and recover from substance abuse. The length of the treatment depends greatly on the individual’s status.
